The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has promised to set up 10 thermal power stations to make the power-starved Telangana a power surplus State.
In the short-term, it projects creation of capacity to produce 13,200 MW of power.
Releasing the party’s manifesto here on Friday, he said the new capacity addition would create one lakh jobs. He said if voted to power, the TRS Government would create 14 more districts to take the total to 24.
The TRS has said it will waive farm loans under ₹1 lakh and ensure the supply of eight-hour power to agricultural pump sets.
Candidates’ list KCR will contest from Gajwel (Medak district) Assembly constituency. The party released the first list of candidates for 69 Assembly constituencies , with 55 per cent of them belonging to the backward community. The newly carved out Telangana State has 119 constituencies.
The Communist Party of India (CPI) is mediating for a pact between the TRS and the Congress for sharing of seats. The CPI and the Congress have reached an understanding to go together. The CPI is likely to get 6-10 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha seat.
Chandrasekhara Rao’s son KT Rama Rao will contest from Sircilla, and Etela Rajendar from Huzurabad (Karimnagar).
