Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao will contest from Gajwel (Medak district) Assembly constituency.
The party released the first list of candidates for 69 Assembly constituencies on Friday, with 55 per cent of them belonging to backward community.
The newly carved out Telangana State has 119 constituencies. The Communist Party of India (CPI) is mediating for a pact between TRS and Congress for sharing of seats. The CPI and Congress have reached an understanding to go together in the ensuing polls. The CPI is likely to get 6-10 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha seat.
Chandra Sekhara Rao’s son K T Rama Rao will contest from Sircilla and Etela Rajendar from Huzurabad (Karimnagar).
