Putting at rest all speculation about the health of party supremo Bal Thackeray, Working President of Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said that the senior Thackeray’s health was satisfactory, though partymen continued to be concerned about his health.

Bal Thackeray has been ailing for the past few months. At the recent Dussehra rally, he addressed party workers via a recorded video message, asking them to support his son Uddhav and grandson Aditya. He had indicated that he was retiring from public life.

Last evening too, rumours had started about his ill-health.

On Thursday , Thackeray’s nephew, Raj, who has formed the rival Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, met the ailing Sena chief. It is his fourth meeting in last few months.

Addressing the media after chairing a meeting of party legislators before the winter session of both Parliament and the Maharashtra Assembly, Uddhav Thackeray said that the party is trying to streamline issues, which are to be taken during the session. The health of the party chief was not on the agenda, he said.
