Uninor has, as part of its aggressive week-long campaign, placed a 20-feet high piggy bank at a mall here to attract prospective customers with the suggestion that they could save money on its network.
The company, offering prepaid telecommunication services, also launched new products, such as unlimited local Uninor-to-Uninor calls at the rate of Rs 58 per month, free night Uninor-to-Uninor calls at Rs 15 per month, unlimited STD calls at 25 paisa and 1.5 GB internet at Rs 47 per month on mobile phones.
Uninor, which currently has 40 lakh customers in Gujarat, said by June, it had over 12 lakh customers in Ahmedabad alone. Nearly 14,000 customers are joining Uninor services every day he said.
Close to 55,000 retailers and 134 exclusive stores serve Uninor customers in Gujarat. As part of its expansion plans, the company will set up an additional 5,000 retailers and 100 exclusive stores offering Uninor connections.
