Uttar Pradesh will participate in the BRICS Trade Fair in New Delhi from October 12-14 to showcase the business opportunities in the State apart from upcoming infrastructure and industrial projects.
A high-level team of senior government officials will be participating in the international trade fair in which investors and top companies from BRICS nations will also take part, an official release issued here said.
The State delegation includes Secretary of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department and Executive Director, Udyog Bandhu, Alaknanda Dayal, Managing Director, UP State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC), Amit Kumar Ghosh, and Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida, Deepak Agarwal.
Dayal said that in addition to the exhibition, a session on ‘Investment Opportunities by States of India’ would be held on October 12, 2016, wherein a presentation would be made on various investment-friendly policies and world-class infrastructure facilities being developed in the State.
Upcoming premier infrastructure and industrial projects in Uttar Pradesh like Lucknow-Agra and Purvanchal expressways, Metro rail projects, projects under Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) would be showcased at the event, she said.
Besides, Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) , IT City-Lucknow, Trans-Ganga Hi-tech city, Unnao and Sarswati Hi-tech city, Allahabad, Perfume Park & Museum-Kannauj, Cycle Tracks etc., would also be showcased through films, brochures, and panels, she added.
BRICS Trade Fair is being organised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)
