The Kochi-based V-Care 24X7 has come out with a novel technology to extend help and rescue assistance to those in emergencies at the click of a button.

V-Care responds to distress, bringing help and assistance on the spot for unforeseen emergencies such as unprecedented health failures, erupting fire, accidents, theft and criminal atrocities.

V-Care 24X7, Managing Partner, Manishankar, said the technology has been developed with the association of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The device looks similar to an identity card and in case of any emergency, a click on the button will intimate (including their location) the control room in the hub and the mobile numbers given by the customer.

Customers could also speak on the device to a customercare centre and request help. The customer-care centre will immediately inform the emergency to the relatives of the customer.

V-Care will collect all the details of the customer, which will be uploaded on the computer at the control room.

Initially, the service will be implemented through residents' associations, clubs, schools and apartments. The company plans to appoint franchisees in all the districts in Kerala soon.
