Digital technology company Verbat Technologies has expanded its office at its Thiruvananthapuram centre, ahead of a recruiting drive.

Verbat provides digital technology consulting and services to customers through its offices in the US, the UK, the UAE, and India.

The company has on its customer list marquee names such Carrefour, ABB, Emaar, and Intel.

Its primary services are distributed, agile, application management; enterprise mobility and cloud computing; and a focus on Microsoft and open source technologies.

The new office space at Kuravankonam here can seat up to 50 professionals. David Callow and Martin Schofield, formerly CIOs with European retail majors, inaugurated the office.

VERBAT VISION

Verbat was set up by the coming together of senior IT industry professionals and niche digital technology-focused companies, says Jijo Olassa, CEO.

The vision was to create a scalable entity which will eventually have product spin-offs, more office space in Thiruvananthapuram, including Technopark, and Kochi in the next two years.

Verbat sees Kerala as its base and looks at adding more professionals in the next one year, Olassa said.

The expansion comes as part of plans to aggressively tap the technology talent pool in the state.

It is also part of the company’s long-term plans to be seen as a technology work place of choice in the state.

The company has been investing in building an innovation ecosystem to deliver digital success for customers, he added.
