It is all set for the three-day Partnership Summit here from Sunday in the Harbour Park near the beach in which more than 1,400 delegates are expected to participate, 350 of them or so from abroad. The event is being conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the State Government.

S.S Rawat, the State Industries Secretary, told reporters here on Saturday that more than 100 MoUs might be signed during the three-day summit entailing investment of Rs 2 lakh crores or so in different sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, IT and tourism. "It is a prestigious event and it will give a great boost to the industrial growth of the State after bifurcation. We will make all efforts to bring the projects to the implementation stage. We have enough lands and we will create other facilities. Clearances will be made easy, as the State Government has adopted a pro-industry policy," he said.

The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, is scheduled to stay here all the three days and interact with the industrialists and other delegates. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley would be the chief guest in the inaugural session.

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Commissioner Praveen Kumar said all arrangements were being made for the comfortable stay of the delegates and for their deliberations.

Visakhapatnam district collector N. Yuvaraj said the summit would put Vizag and AP on the industrial map of the country and the world.
