The West Bengal government has allotted land to Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, the bottling partner of Coca Cola, for expansion of its existing facility at Raninagar in Jalpaiguri district in North Bengal.
According to a release issued by the company, around Rs 180 crore will be invested towards capacity expansion there with the setting up of a “high speed PET line”. The new line is expected to start production by 2015.
Allotment letters were handed over by the Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, at the North Bengal Investor’s meet on Saturday.
