West Bengal Higher Education Minister Bratya Basu on Monday said the State Government would introduce the pre-primary section in all State-run primary schools.
According to Basu, all primary schools will have to dedicate a special room for the pre-primary section and it will be on the lines of the kindergarten.
Meanwhile, commenting on the recruitment of primary teachers in the State, the Minister said the Government’s priority would be to expedite the recruitment process as it has been pending for nearly three years.
The State Government is ready to submit any affidavit before the Calcutta High Court to intimate its “clear” stand on giving privilege to trained candidates, Basu said.
The Court on December 13 stayed the recruitment of primary teachers for 54,000-odd vacancies following a petition claiming violation of the provisions of the National Council of Teacher Education.
