Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while launching BJP’s campaign for Maharashtra polls, said “We want to create a paradise in Jammu and Kashmir once again and hug every Kashmiri.”
He added that the people of Jammu and Kashmir want to get out of the violent phase and want development and employment.

He alleged that the opposition, including the Congress, did not cooperate with the government on the Kashmir issue and instead have given statements that are being used by the supporters of terrorism to target India.
Modi said, “For the last 40 years, Jammu and Kashmir had been a victim of New Delhi’s of wrong policies”. He said that 130 crore Indians wanted the government to take concrete steps on Kashmir, and revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir will help locals to break the vicious cycle of violence, terrorism, separatism and corruption.
The Prime Minister said that in the first 100 days of its second term, his government has fulfilled promises, given performance and delivered results.
On Ram temple
Speaking on Ram Mandir issue, Modi said that the matter is in the Supreme Court and people must respect the Judiciary.
He said he has noticed that some people are making unwarranted statements on the issue. He appealed that everyone must refrain from making statements as the matter was with the Judiciary.
Assembly polls in Maharashtra are likely to be conducted in the next couple of months.
