The World Economic Forum has decided to work with Maharashtra Government for creating agricultural value chains for 14 crops in the State. Complete chains from farm-gate to end consumers would be created with the help of large companies such as Monsanto, said Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, on Wednesday.

He was addressing the media after his recent Davos visit, where he participate in the WEF deliberations.

Fadnavis said that WEF will bring companies together, which will help farmers get better quality seeds and market the agri-products in the most efficient manner.
