The 20-year-old Wintech Infoway based at Karunagappally in Kollam, near here, has launched an enterprise-class omni channel marketplace for its retail partners.

Omni-channel marketing is a multi-channel platform that businesses use to retool their systems to meet the needs of consumers.

Called www.kabooliwala.com, it has pledged support the entire 47 million small and medium-scale enterprise (SME) businesses in the country.

Secure payment
It will support merchants in Kerala to go digital by creating a friendly marketing approach and secured payment options, said Samuel Sudhakar, CEO, Wintech Group. He told
BusinessLine that technology is the nucleus of its Microsoft Windows Azure Platform.

“Our platform is scalable, secure, reliable and available 24x7 and offers comprehensive features and flexibility to build and manage unique needs of our retail partners.” Wintech is also working closely with the tax authorities in Kerala as well as merchants associations, Sudhakar added.

The online business in Kerala in the year 2013 is that of ₹400 crore as per Ebay survey, said E Mansoor, executive director, Wintech Group.

Tax compliance Flipkart, according to its own admission, did a business of ₹165 crore in the State during the four months from October last.

The Commercial Taxes Department, Kerala, is learnt to have extracted ₹50 crore as penalty from online trading companies from outside for irregularities while transacting business in the State. But Kabooliwala.com operates in full compliance of tax regulations in the state, he added.

According to Sudhakar, the influx of global giants with online marketing platform is a threat to the SME business community in Kerala. The traditional merchants need to be supported by new initiatives.

This is precisely why www.kabooliwala.com has been launched an omni channel marketing partner to support SMEs.

It proposes to initiate various promotional activities through print media, TV, radio outdoor promotion, SEO (search engine optimisation) and digital marketing to drive customer traffic to its e-commerce marketplace.

According to Rajan P Thodiyoor, CEO, Eintech Media Creations, Kabooliwala will provide report and analysis of traffic to its retail partners on their listed product categories.

The Kerala Vyapari Vyavasai Ekopana Samithy, the umbrella organisation for traders in the state, and the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and other merchant associations lend their support to this initiative.
