'My Well Our Water’, an interactive workshop, is to be held in the Wipro Sarjapur Campus (SJP 1) on June 27.
This is a joint initiative of Wipro, the Biome Environmental Trust (a Bangalore-based design firm focused on ecology, architecture and water), ACWADAM (Advanced Center for Water Resources Development and Management — a not-for-profit organisation that aims to develop solutions to groundwater problems), and Mapunity (a start-up company in Bangalore, that develops technology to tackle social problems and development challenges in India, co-founded by Ashwin Mahesh).
Senior officials and resource people from the BWSSB (Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board), BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike), CGWB (Central Ground Water Board), KSPCB (Karnataka State Pollution Control Board) and various academic and research institutes will participate in the event.
The workshop is expected to share interpretations of the aquifer map from the work done over the past year and seek feedback from government, academia, resident associations, and community stakeholders.
