B2BAdda.com in association with the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women (TNCDW) and the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission (TNSRLM), will set up a Centre of Excellence-cum-Incubation Centre for more than 20,000 women’s Self-Help Groups in Vellore district to impart on-the-job training to women.
The training will be related to manufacturing, service and sales of Detel products, namely, mobile phones, LED TVs and mobile accessories such as power banks, hands-free and cables. B2BAdda.com is the exclusive e-distribution partner of Detel, the economical feature phone brand, according to a press release on Tuesday.
The centre aims to identify the innovation and entrepreneurial potential of women members of the SHGs and transform them into start-up entrepreneurs by developing an ecosystem and promoting inter-institutional partnerships among technical institutions, other ecosystem enablers, stakeholders, programmes, the market and society.
The partnership will help create a skilled workforce through skill development, generation of employment and entrepreneurship opportunities towards making a robust economy and to address issues related to unemployment and rural-to-urban migration.
The TNCDW was established in 1983 to bring about socio-economic development and empowerment of women. A large part of its activities are conducted through selected Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and other training institutions.
Established in 2015, B2Badda.com is an e-distribution platform for bulk buying, selling for brands, retailers, wholesalers, corporate companies, and institutions.
