Zoomcar, a 100 per cent self-drive car rental company, has announced its expansion plans under shared mobility platform Zoom Associate Programme in Hyderabad.
Across the world, shared mobility has grown tremendously in recent years. Shared mobility technology like ZAP in India has been a success in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore with over 600 registered users with almost 20 per cent of Zoomcar’s fleet via ZAP cars.
Greg Moran, CEO & Co-founder, Zoomcar, in a statement said, “In next 2-3 years, ZAP will make Zoomcar profitable and will have around 7000-8000 cars under its fleet by ZAP model. ”
Zoomcar’s ZAP major revenue stream model will help the company achieve its target. ZAP allows an individual to buy one or more vehicles, which can be leased at ZAP to operate on a revenue sharing model.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Bengaluru, its service is presently spread across 24 cities.
