About a 1,000 Indians in Iraq have shown interest in coming back while many have decided to stay back in Iraq, a spokesman of Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday.
The Government has already purchased 233 air tickets with the maximum number of Indians wanting to come back being from north India followed by Hyderabad with limited number from Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
The spokesman said that number of Indians from Kerala and Tamil Nadu who have been purchased air tickets by the Government is in single digit, the spokesman said.
