Former Infosys managing director Nandan Nilekani, who is likely to contest the South Bangalore parliamentary constituency on a Congress Party ticket, is making silent rounds to familiarise himself with the constituency. On Saturday and Sunday he visited a few temples.

During his visit he spoke to members of the Oriya community in Bangalore, recalling that Infosys had set up an office in Bhubaneswar and his frequent visits there.

“I am very fond of that city (Bhubhaneswar),” he said in a release, “and I am glad for this opportunity to talk to this community, and see the work happening here.”

Nandan visited the temple that is under construction at Agara. The temple will be a replica of the Jagannath Puri temple in Orissa.

Later, along with wife Rohini Nilekani, he visited a mobile eye camp that he is sponsoring, as well as a health camp in South Bangalore.
