Opposition parties ask EC to ensure Budget is presented after polls

Opposition party leaders coming out after a meeting in the Election Commission (EC) in the Capital on Thursday. The Opposition parties have asked the EC to defer presentation of the Union Budget during the poll process in five states. -- Kamal Narang

Opposition parties have asked the Election Commission to ensure that the Union Budget is presented after Assembly polls in five states.

They claim the Budget can be used by the BJP to influence voters in poll-bound states.
