Well-known investor and portfolio advisor, Parag Parikh , was killed in a car accident in Omaha, Nebraska, US, on Sunday.
www.omaha.com quoting Sgt. Chuck Casey of the Omaha Police Department, said, Parag Parikh, 61, of Mumbai, India, was pronounced dead at the Nebraska Medical Center and his wife, Geeta Parikh, 59, was hospitalised in critical condition with head and chest injuries.
The couple was in the US to attend the Warren Buffett-controlled Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholders meeting on Sunday.
Media reports from the US said Parikh was the backseat passenger of a car that collided with a pick-up. The car was being driven by Rajeev Thakkar, chief investment officer at PPFAS asset management company founded by Parikh in 2013.
Thakkar shared news of Parikh's demise on Twitter on Sunday.
