Skipping controversial issues such as unrest in universities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked students to utilise the vacation fruitfully by learning something new. He urged the students to develop their personality and skill during the vacation.
He urged farmers to clean ponds in their vicinity for improving the availability of water. Modi said MGNREGA will also be used for the conservation of water bodies. "The effort is to clean and protect five lakh ponds," he said. The Prime Minister also encouraged saving of rain water.
He asked the farmers to use technology in the field of agriculture. Supporting the Kisan Suvidha mobile application, he said the app helps farmers to keep a track of the weather and the prices of agricultural produces in the market.
Warning the citizens about unhealthy life style, he expressed concern over the rising number of diabetic patients in the country. He asked people to do regular medical checkup for early detection and treatment of diabetes.
