A clash broke out between media personnel and Kolkata police on Saturday when suspended Trinamool Congress MP and a prime accused in the Saradha scam, Kunal Ghosh, was discharged from the state-run SSKM Hospital.
The quarrel broke out after media personnel wanted to speak to Ghosh who was being transported to the Presidency Correctional Home, after being discharged from the hospital. Police did not permit reporters to talk to Ghosh leading to an argument and a scuffle.
Ghosh was hospitalised on Friday after he allegedly tried to commit suicide in jail by consuming sleeping pills.
