Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia did not meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah during a brief visit here on Saturday.
Scindia left for Jaipur soon after her meeting in the NITI Aayog. Her move has further put Modi under pressure as the Opposition has stepped up the demand for her resignation on the Lalitgate.
Opposition parties have been demanding that the Prime Minister should speak his mind on the controversies. The Prime Minister and Shah had a meeting on Friday, apparently on the present political issues.
It was widely expected that Scindia would meet the Prime Minister when she visits Delhi.
The Congress, meanwhile, stepped up its attack against the Prime Minister. Party spokesperson Raj Babbar said Modi has become helpless to take action against his colleagues. “If the Prime Minister is helpless in securing the resignations, he should tell people about his failure to ensure zero tolerance to corruption and offer his resignation,” Babbar told reporters here on Saturday.
