Auto component maker Rane (Madras) has more than doubled its net profit at ₹16.47 crore the quarter ended March 31, 2018, compared with ₹6.99 crore in a year-ago period, on the back of strong topline growth.
Revenue from operations stood at ₹334.75 crore compared with ₹286.68 crore. Profit before exceptional items was higher at ₹24.46 crore against ₹9.93 crore.
For the year ended March 31, 2018, too, its net profit doubled to ₹41.8 crore (₹20.7 crore in FY17). Total net revenue grew by 23 per cent at ₹1217.5 crore (₹992.6 crore in FY17).
EBITDA grew by 40 per cent at ₹139.5 crore (₹99.4 crore). EBITDA margin improved to 11.5 per cent from 10 per cent.
On a consolidated basis, its net profit for FY18 zoomed to ₹24.2 crore from ₹4.3 crore in FY17. Revenue was up 17 per cent at ₹1406.6 crore compared with ₹1206.5 crore.
A final dividend of ₹7.50 per equity share has been recommended by the board.
