Kolkata-based Bright Group, a not-for-profit trust, is looking to invest Rs 100 crore to set up a housing project, B.Ed college, pharmacy college and diagnostic centre, high school and a water treatment plant.
According to Bodhisattva Banerjee, CEO and Managing Trustee, the land has already been acquired by the group in Baruipur, on the southern fringes of the city.
Bright is a not-for-profit trust that runs the GMIT engineering college.
"The investments and the projects should materialise by 2018 end or early 2019," Banerjee said.
The housing project, incidentally will target the aged residents and will entail an investment of ₹75 crore. The apartments - targeting the affordable segment - will cost around ₹ 10 lakh - ₹ 12 lakh.
