The West Bengal chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) on Wednesday met officials of the city civic body (Kolkata Municipal Corporation) to overcome regulatory hurdles and other bottlenecks regarding real estate development here.
Points that came up during discussion included ensuring provisions for additional car parking space, availing clearances for projects which have a water body and where the size of the water body is disputed; and streamlining the process of sanctioning building plans.
“We have urged the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to evaluate our propositions and consider its applicability for ushering the industry’s optimal growth in the region,” Harsh Vardhan Patodia, President, CREDAI Bengal, said in a release issued by the Association.
