State Bank of India (SBI) has set up a new marketing outfit called ‘Destination: The Home Shoppe’ in Hitech City here. It was inaugurated by J Swaminathan, Deputy Managing Director, in the presence of senior officials of industry associations, including CREDAI, TREDA and TBG.
The bank will have a digital display of residential projects from leading developers that have been approved by SBI. The prospective buyers can have a detailed digital walkthrough of participating projects. It will function as a virtual property show bringing builder, customers and SBI under one roof. The Home Shoppe would facilitate the short-listing of projects by prospective buyers. The bank has already got 12 builders with 17 projects on board.
Swaminathan said the bank is digitalising the home loan process and customers can obtain in-principal approval through YONO App.
