There has been a reshuffle of IAS officers in Tamil Nadu. This includes the transfer of Managing Director, Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.
Pankaj Kumar Bansal, Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health Systems, will replace K. Rajaraman as Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail. Rajaraman will be the new Commissioner of Taxes.
K. Manivasan, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, will be the State Commissioner for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons replacing V.K. Jeyakodi, who has been posted as Member Secretary, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.
Apurva Varma, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, is posted as Principal Secretary, Home, Prohibition and Excise Department replacing Niranjan Mardi, who will take over as Commissioner of Economics and Statistics.
V. Irai Anbu, Commissioner of Economics and Statistics has been transferred as Director of Anna Institute of Management and Director General of Training.
N.S. Palaniappan, Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department is posted as Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department.
