Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure Limited (RGTIL) has informed that the fire that broke out in its gas pipeline in Maddikunta near Sadasivpet in remote Telangana has been contained.
In a regulatory filing with the NSE, the company, part of RIL, said that the company experts managed to control the fire by safely evacuating and cordoning off that section of pipeline.
After internal investigation, normal gas flow to the downstream customers will be resumed, the company stated.
R.K.Dhadda, Managing Director of RGTIL informed that reduction or interruption of gas flow to the downstream customers is expected to last for a period of about 24 to 48 hours.
There was no injury or loss of life. All the concerned authorities and affected customers have been informed, the company stated.
