Trinamool Congress MP Srinjoy Bose and the West Bengal Textile Minister, Shyamapada Mukherjee, on Friday appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The two have been summoned by the central investigating agency in relation to the multi-crore Saradha scam.
Mukherjee is facing probe in connection with a plot of land he sold to the Saradha Group.
He is among the Cabinet Ministers of the Mamata Banerjee-led Government who have been summoned.
Besides Mukherjee, his colleague and the State Transport Minister, Madan Mitra, has also been summoned.
Mitra has, however, expressed his inability to be present citing health reasons.
Meanwhile, Srinjoy Bose, before meeting the CBI officials today, told newspersons that he has been called as a "witness" in the case.
