The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday interrogated Trinamool Congress MP Suvendu Adhikari in connection with the Saradha scam.
Adhikari is the second TMC MP to be questioned after Srinjoy Bose.
This apart, Kunal Ghosh, suspended TMC MP, has already been arrested in relation to the scam. Ghosh though, was arrested by the West Bengal police. His arrest was made before CBI took charge of the case in May this year.
The Saradha Group, involved in illegal deposit taking and ponzi schemes, went bust in April 2013, duping thousands of depositors across West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Tripura.
Sudpita Sen, Group chairman, was arrested later that month by the West Bengal police and has since then been in jail.
This apart, CBI has made three arrests, including two from West Bengal and one from Assam, in connection with the scam.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also carrying out a parallel probe in the matter.
