Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, a constituent of CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research), Government of India, has planned to set up a Science Park at its Narayanguda premises in Hyderabad, according to a statement.
The Science Park will showcase the significant technologies developed across 37 laboratories of CSIR from all over the country. These will be demonstrated to students, visitors and general public to popularise and promote science.
IICT, whose core strength lies in organic chemistry, till date has developed more than 150 technologies with CSIR. They are now in commercial production.
Under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, CSIR-IICT has embarked on a societal mission to provide clean and safe drinking water in the fluoride affected areas and to educate the school children about personal hygiene and provide good sanitation facilities in Government schools.
