A new concept car that turns into a mobile cinema has been developed by a German automobile company.
The concept turns a cell phone into an integral part of the car and then the car into a moving cinema.
Cars normally have a bonnet intake to help keep their engine cool but Smart Forstar’s scoop conceals a projector that turns a wall into a screen.
The media player for the projector can be connected directly to the smartphone or videos can be streamed from it through Bluetooth, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Other facilities in the car include that it can turn the phone into a rear-view mirror.
The concept car was revealed at the Paris Motor Show this week.
Smart said the car is the brand’s first ‘Sports Utility Coupe’ — though it’s pretty well removed from normal standards of utility.
The right-hand tail light hides the charging socket and the left conceals a large bottle holder.
The seat shells are slung with cloth hammocks, which can be easily removed to change colours when the mood strikes or to load large items.
A 60 kW magneto-electric motor fed by a 17.6 kWh battery powers the car, which propels it to speeds of more than 130 km/h.
