Southern Railways would announce the schedule of its special trains to clear the rush of passengers during the Diwali festival within 15 days, General Manager Rakesh Misra has said.
“We would announce special trains for Diwali in the next 10 to 15 days,” Misra told reporters on the sidelines of a function at the Integral Coach Factory here today.
Arrangements were being made to deploy more employees at the ticket counters, he said.
Rail passengers are looking forward to the special trains as advance rail reservation for the festival, which is on November 3, was full within few minutes of the counters being opened on September 1.
