Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not stay back in Brazil to watch the FIFA World Cup final, scheduled for July 14. Modi will be in Brazil to attend the sixth BRICS summit, which coincides with the ongoing FIFA World Cup being hosted by the Latin American nation. “There are no plans of the Prime Minister to be present at football FIFA finals,” a spokesman said in response to a question from the media. Brazil had extended an invitation to all BRICS leaders attending the summit to also watch the World Cup finals.
