Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has reached an agreement with the Sunday Times after it sued the multiple Tour de France winner for about 1 million pounds.

The newspaper said it had reached a “mutually acceptable final resolution.” The details of the agreement are to remain confidential.

Armstrong had been paid 300,000 pounds to settle a libel case in 2004 after the newspaper alleged he had cheated by using banned performance-enhancing methods.

The 41-year-old American has since admitted doping and been stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.

The newspaper sued for the return of the money plus interest and costs.
