The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a partnership with Twitter to launch missed call updates service for cricket.
“Starting today, follow the latest on Team India and Indian cricket on Twitter via timely Tweets from @BCCI by giving a missed call on 011 3008 1008 from your mobile phone,” said an official statement.
Sanjay Patel, Honorary Secretary, BCCI, said, " We are pleased to be the first sports federation globally to launch the SMS Fast Follow feature on Twitter and ensure that cricket-lovers are now just a missed call away from getting inside information on their favourite sport."
Added Rishi Jaitly, India and South East Asia Market Director, Twitter; "In India, Twitter is focused on reaching every person with a mobile phone and this product is in service of that goal.”
