Search engine major Google on Saturday lived up to the expectations of millions of fans across the world with its new Olympics doodle.

The doodle features a woman archer aiming at a target where the “o’’ of Google is the bulls-eye. Clicking on the doodle takes the user to the search page where news relating to the archery results of the London Olympics are displayed.

Other than the doodle, the Google home page also has a separate line mentioning “The games have begun’’ and separate link to the archery results page of the London Olympics.

On Friday, Google had kicked off its first Olympics doodle in sync with the opening ceremony of the games. The doodle had featured five athletes from five different sports played at the Olympics.

Excitement over whether Google would have a different doodle on all days of the London Olympics or not had been building for quite sometime, especially after the search engine major had tweeted about the same on a micro-blogging site.

The search engine, it is now anticipated, will have a different doodle on all days of the Olympics.
