Mobile TV service nexGTv has bagged the live mobile streaming rights for the 2014 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), scheduled to kick-off from tomorrow.
Value-added services provider DigiVive, that owns nexGTv, has partnered Times Internet, the digital arm of the Times of India group for the 2014 season of the league, for content.
“Apart from all the matches, users will be able to watch match repeats and highlights as all this will be available in the Video-on-Demand section,” Digivive said in a release.
Pepsi IPL channel will be clubbed into the existing subscription packs of nexGTv and users can subscribe to these packs, it added.
nexGTv mobile TV service has had over 17 million downloads and averages 30,000 each day.
At present, its users have access to over 150 channels with features like — replay TV, EPG guide, on screen controls, option of deleting and listing the channels as per choice.
nexGTv also had the mobile streaming rights for IPL 2013.
