The Indian Badminton League has roped in Vodafone as the title sponsor for its first edition. Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India, said, “Badminton is a sport that most Indians associate with and we see this as a paradigm shift in the sports entertainment industry. Vodafone India intends to make the best out of this association.”
The league is set to kickstart on August 14, with the first match between Krrish Delhi Smashers and Pune Pistons. The league, which will feature six franchises and run for 18 days, will showcase a total of 90 matches, which will be telecast on STAR Sports 2 and ESPN.
