Stratasys Ltd’s Indian unit opened its first 3D printing centre in the city, on Wednesday, as the company aims to deal with the demand for 3D printing in India.

The 3D printing experiences centre features Stratasys’ latest 3D printing technologies, which enable designers and engineers to create models for new product designs and to build finished goods, Stratasys India said in a press release.

The centre also exhibits Stratasys’ range of 3D printing materials, the company said.

“We believe 3D printing is an exciting prospect in India. From producing plastic prototypes to 3D printing fully-functional end parts, India is undergoing transformation in manufacturing,” said Rajiv Bajaj, General Manager, Stratasys India.

Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Stratasys has 10 offices in the Asia Pacific region with Hong Kong as the Asia-Pacific & Japan headquarters.
