The Swadeshi Jagaran Manch will hold a four-day all-India conference here from Thursday. The Manch is of the view that India has sold the interest of its poor and farmers in an incomprehensible deal at the Bali WTO Round. Even the minimum support price programme could be dragged to the dispute resolution body on grounds of possible distortion of trade.
Economists Bhagwati Sharma and Ashwani Mahajan will move a resolution on this topic.The second resolution is on environmental threats in general and the issue of Western Ghats in particular. The third topic will be on swadeshi economic agenda for the new government after 2014 elections.
