In a bid to train manpower to the life sciences’ industry, the Chennai-based Take Solutions has launched an academy of life science and leadership.
The Chennai-based technology solutions provider said the aim was to create ‘well informed and industry-ready’ employees for the life sciences industry, which is facing a huge shortage.
First, the academy was envisaged to train recruits for Take Solutions. However, some of the industry players too wanted such talent. The academy will serve the purpose of both Take Solutions and the industry, said HR Srinivasan, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director. The company has invested $1 million in the academy and is willing to pump in more money, if needed, he told newspersons.
President of the academy Anuradha Parakkat said projects for B.Pharm, M.Pharm and Life Science students will be provided industry-oriented training programme.
Parakkat said Tata Institute of Social Science would conduct examinations and provide certification.
