Talks between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, and the Joint Action Committee of Seemandhra Electricity employees unions failed to make any headway.
The JAC will continue to abstain from work in spite of efforts to convince them to rejoin work due to hardship faced by power consumers.
The strike by JAC has plunged nearly half of the State into darkness. About 4300 MW of power generation capacity has been affected due to employees abstaining work in support of unified Andhra Pradesh.
After the talks Seemandhra JAC leaders reiterated that they will continue to strike work for the cause of unified State.
