Over 2,700 entrepreneurs will take part in the two-day TiECON Chennai 2017 conference to be held in the city on November 10 and 11 at ITC Grand Chola.
The event, the 10th annual entrepreneurship conference organised by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), will look at ways businesses can tap into the opportunities thrown up by digitalisation. BusinessLine is the media partner for the event.
Chandu Nair, Chairperson, TiECON Chennai 2017, said that the theme of the conference, DREAM.DARE.DO, encourages entrepreneurs to tap into the potential the age of digitisation offers.
“We live in the age of growing complexity, increasing uncertainty and dynamic changes. There are challenges. But the age is filled with great opportunities, too,” he added.
AgendaThe conference, which will be a combination of sessions and workshops, will have a marketplace for entrepreneurs to display their products, and a PitchFest to connect entrepreneurs with investors – workshops on artificial intelligence, machine learning and digital marketing will focus on the changing trends in the digital world.
PitchFest for the first time will have a separate Series A track.
The event will also witness a lifetime achievement award function, which will be given to entrepreneurs under three categories – start-up, scale-up and sustaining.
Key speakers for the event will include: Ajay G Piramal, Chairman, Piramal Group; V Vaidyanathan, Executive Chairman, Capital First Limited; Shobu Yarlagadda, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-founder, Arka Media Works; Rajiv Lochan, Managing Director and CEO, Kasturi and Sons Limited; and K Vijayaraghavan, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
