Lok Sabha elections: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi will campaign in Telangana on Monday. Modi, who is visiting the State for the second time in four days, will address a public meeting in Hyderabad. Rahul Gandhi will address meetings in Wanaparthy and Huzurnagar. He is also expected to meet senior party leaders in Zaheerabad. The State has 17 Lok Sabha seats.

EMISAT launch: ISRO will launch India’s EMISAT satellite along with 28 of global customers from Sriharikota on Monday. The space agency will use its third generation workhorse Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle for this launch. The four-stage PSLV C45 will blast off at 9:27 am, agency officials said.

Bank merger: Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank will merge with the Bank of Baroda today. Following the amalgamation, the two banks will function as branches of BoB. Customers, including depositors of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank, will be treated as customers of Bank of Baroda.

Wheat procurement: Food Corporation of India will start wheat procurement from April 1. The FCI hopes to procure 130 lakh tonnes against the 127 tonnes last season. For this, a cash credit limit of .19,240 crore has been released for crop procurement by the Centre.

Brexit deal: UK MPs will vote on Monday on a series of alternatives to PM Theresa May’s Brexit deal. This is the second of the “indicative vote” which was held last Wednesday. The MPs did not choose any of the eight options — including plans for a customs union, a Norway-style deal, Labour’s Brexit plan, and a second referendum — before them.
