Travel to Kenya to get costlier

Kenya Tourism has recorded 30 per cent growth in travel from India for the first half of the year(January to July) over the previous year. With airline partner Kenya Airways, the new campaign ‘Kenya Kalling’ is expected to boost tourism between the two countries. Hildah Ogada, Assistant Regional Manager, Kenya Tourism Board, said: “India has grown as a source market. Apart from the being a safari destination, we now want to promote sports like cricket and golf in our country for the new age Indian travellers.’’ Kenya Airways is offering airfares from Mumbai to Nairobi up to ₹30,000 for a round trip.
