The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) achieved 99. 2 per cent accuracy levels in its iris authentication study in Mysore , Karnataka.
The study was conducted in Nanjangud taluk between May 27 and July 30. In all, 215,342 iris authentication transactions from 5,833 residents were studied using eight camera models.
The detailed findings of the study will be documented in a report that will be published on UIDAI’s Web site. Soon, further field studies will be undertaken, a Plan panel release said here on Monday.
