The sources said Home Ministry officials were in regular touch with the state authorities and have asked them to ensure all those involved in the case were brought to book at the earliest.
As outrage spread over the incident, the UP authorities today sacked two constables even as a third accused in the case was nabbed.
Of the seven wanted in the case, three (policeman Sarvesh Yadav and brothers Pappu and Awadhesh Yadav) have been arrested so far, Badaun SP Atul Kumar Saxena has said. Sarvesh and Pappu were arrested yesterday.
