The output of Kerala’s hardware incubator Maker Village is “amazing” as its products are designed with an eye on customer need, said Robert Burgess, American Consul General (Chennai).
On a visit to Maker Village here, Burgess noted that the greatest threat faced by the start-ups often is the similarity of applications, but a variety of products and applications developed in Maker Village stood out in sharp contrast.
Later, speaking at the golden jubilee celebrations of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, he pointed out that the Indo-US tie-ups for trade, defence, technology and education is a positive sign.
American universities have opened doors for Kerala students, he said, adding that IACC had played a major role for trade between the two countries.
